Brookline High School junior, Jesse Viola, completes his year-long internship with Giannandrea Inchingolo and supervised by Nuno Loureiro culminating with a presentation of “Particle Motion Through an Electric and Magnetic Field.” Jesse began by helping to create the Loureiro Research Group website. From there with the assistance of Giannandrea, Jesse completed a research project regarding the motion of plasmas. Using Python, Jesse wrote numerical code to describe a Gaussian distribution of particles through oscillating electric and magnetic fields.
